Carotid/Cerebrovascular Case Studies Online Course has been designed to provide a large variety of cases in order to improve competence in the diagnosis/interpretation of carotid/cerebrovascular ultrasound pathologies. Recorded during a live Vascular Case Review program, our expert faculty presents 38 cases in a “double-read” format. The patient history/physical examination is provided along with the corresponding ultrasound case documentation.
OBJECTIVES

Demonstrate the participants’ knowledge and competence to interpret cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations.
State routine scan protocols and analyze normal duplex/color ultrasound characteristics seen in a normal carotid and TCD vascular examinations.
Recognize normal/abnormal spectral/color Doppler findings seen with carotid and transcranial Doppler disease.
Apply diagnostic criteria for evaluation of cerebrovascular disease.
Interpret routine and complex cerebrovascular Doppler case studies in an interactive “double-read” format.
Apply diagnostic criteria for interpretation of cerebrovascular examinations.
Cite the key elements to include in a structured final report.

AUDIENCE
Physicians, nurse practitioners, PA’s, sonographers or other medical professional involved with performing and/or interpreting cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations and/or preparing to take their RPVI certification examination. Physician participants may include (but is not limited to): radiology, internal medicine, primary care, vascular surgery, general surgery, neurology, and cardiology.
